    C# Programming Certification

Learn to program in C# and become a valuable asset in tech.

C# is one of the most widely used programming languages for developing applications. It is an object-oriented and component-oriented programming language that enables developers to build many types of applications that run in .NET. With roots in the C family of languages, C# will be an easy transition and next step for programmers already familiar with C, C++, Java and JavaScript progrmming.

If you are interested in expanding your programming skillset, this self-directed micro course will provide you with the full introduction you need to get started. Students will learn the basic syntax and thought processes used in C# programming as well as be introduced to .NET Core.

    Course Highlights

Students will have the opportunity to boost their programming experience by exercising some of the fundamental elements of the C# language such as variables and control structures while also learning about how to accept user input, handle exceptions, and create program output. Since C# is an object-oriented language, students will also look at how to define functions and how values can be passed between them to create reusable blocks of code that can be unit tested. An overview of debugging will cover how to diagnose and fix issues with their program.

After finishing this course, you will be able to:

    • Write simple C# programs
    • Declare, assign, and initialize variables
    • Cast and convert between primitive C# data types
    • Create functions to effectively structure programs
    • Debug an application using the Visual Studio IDE
    • Create Unit tests to ensure objects and functions conform to requirements

    What You Will Earn

    • Upon successful completion, students will receive a digital badge and e-certificate
    • Learners may also choose to further their training in this field with the Robertson Full Stack Web Developer diploma program
